Yee-Ning Soong, piano

Yee-Ning started studying music at the age of seven with Peabody graduate, Douglas Guiles of Columbia, Maryland. Winner of many local competitions, she continued her studies at the University of Maryland at College Park with international pianist and teacher Mikhail Volchok.
Between graduation in 2009 and 2012, Yee-Ning worked at PianoCraft where she apprenticed under piano rebuilders and technicians. This experience gave her a much more intimate understanding of her relationship as a performer to her instrument. She has since concentrated her efforts on teaching and performing.
Mrs. Soong currently works with the College Park Youth Choir and the Animato Suzuki Violin Program in Greenbelt. She frequently collaborates with other groups and is currently establishing her piano studio in the central Maryland area.
